Parador Golf Course

Parador Golf Course is the oldest golf course in Andalucia and is a fairly flat mixture of parkland and links style holes featuring some seawater lagoons.

Parador was created by Tom Simpson, who also designed Muirfield and Turnberry, with the Spanish Royal Family in mind. It has wide fairways with well established trees and fast greens and is suitable for all levels of golfer.

Since its beginning an extra 9 holes have been added giving golfers the option of three different courses to play.

Two interesting holes are the ninth and eighteenth. The par 3 ninth's green is not easy to hit and then tricky to read slopes, especially on a windy day.

The par 4 eighteenth is one of the most difficult courses on the Costa del Sol being a double dogleg with a woody area catching any drives straying to the left.

But the best thing about both holes is the refreshment stand offering drinks and tapas on completion.

Golfer Reviews Area

Parador is Similar to Alcaidesa, you need to keep the ball low on a windy day. Very enjoyable round of golf.
Mike Currin 23rd July 2007

Really enjoyed the course except the 18th as it was the last hole of the trip. This course is a great way to squeeze an extra round in on the last day before the flights home.
