Guadalmina Golf Club
Guadalmina is the second oldest golf club on the coast. The south course is the most challenging with wide fairways winding between shady trees, while the north course, undulates between more trees.
Guadalmina's South course was virtually rebuilt in 2002 with new greens and fairways re-laid with turf and more trees planted.
It has many an interesting hole, such as the Par 3 eleventh which has a bunker all the way along one side to catch wayward balls that would otherwise end up on the beach.
The North course is more genteel than the South and is quite tight in places, with far more trees lining the fairways.
Guadalmina has hosted the PGA European Tour qualifying school several times in the last few years thus giving the course international recognition.
