Cobh Golf Club
Cobh Golf Club is a well recognized course and is situated about 3.5 kilometers from the scenic town of Cobh. Designed by the renowned golf architect Eddie Hackett it was opened in 1987 by Christy O'Connor Snr.
The 4576 meters course plays to a par of 67 and has 9 spectacular holes.
The key characteristic of the course is the 7th par 3rd hole. It is out of bounds all the way to the right-hand side and at the back of the green.
You can enjoy an entertaining round of golf here and is an exciting course for golfers of all skill levels.
There was an old cottage earlier which doubled as the clubhouse in the initial days.
With the addition of new members more land has been added and the course has become longer.
With the development of the young club the facilities have also increased and a new clubhouse was inaugurated in 1996.
With time Cobh Golf Club has become an exclusive club and is a great place to enjoy a round of golf.
