Cork Golf Club

Cork Golf Club is a championship parkland course and said to be one of the finest golf courses in Ireland and is scenically located in Cork Harbor, just 5 miles east of Cork City

It was founded in 1888 and redesigned later by Alister Mackenzie in 1927. The parkland course is a refined and mature course where you will enjoy a great round of golf.

The club has been host to a number of major Amateur and Professional Championships over the last few years. Some of the important tournaments played here have been the Irish Open, Irish Professional Championships, Irish Close Championships and the National Finals.

The golf course has been built on free-draining limestone and has the same crusty heath like playing exterior comparable to a links course.

You will see Lough Mahon, on the estuary of the River Lee, as it is in the background for most part of the course. It is well known for its many long holes, the tees and very well maintained fairways.

Stretched out over an area of 6,695 yards, this 18 hole, par 72, brilliant parkland course is comparable to any golf club in Ireland.
