Mahon Golf Club

Mahon Golf Club is an Eddie Hackett designed golf course on Ireland's first purpose made Municipal Golf Course built on the Mahon Peninsula and financially assisted by the GUI.

The Course was officially inaugurated in 1980 and is also known as the Ted McCarthy Municipal Golf Course.

The course has developed into a very challenging test for golfers of all skills and ability and is acclaimed for being maintained in an admirable condition.

The course layout is between Clover Hill and the estuary of the Douglas River and provides a fantastic view of Lough Mahon and the sloping hills of Rochestown.
