Water Rock Golf Course
Water Rock Golf Course is course with a different concept as they have no permanent members and operates on green fee only. It is located around 15 minutes drive from Cork City and 20 minutes from Cork Airport.
This Patrick Merrigan designed course was inaugurated in September, 1994, and is a family run business. With the passing of time Water Rock golf course has grown into one of the most popular golf courses in the south of Ireland.
The course has been built to international standards and construction stipulations which include gently contoured greens which are sand based and have the option of tees to provide for all levels of golfers.
Water Rock Golf Course has been planned and built in an attractive surrounding on the side of River Owenacurra.
It is tactically designed from its front and back tees to offer very different holes for both the casual and top golfer.
This par 70 course is made up of 5 par threes and 3 par fives in two loops.
The signature hole is a very challenging hole known as 'Swan Lake' it is the 240 yard 12th par 3 and plays over water into the silhouetting green.
