Dunfanaghy Golf Club follows the three mile stretch of beach adjacent to the spectacular Sheephaven Bay lagoon. It is a favorite course with the golfers with its panoramic beauty of the sea and the beach.

The Harry Vardon designed course is one of the two hundred links courses in the world and is an enjoyable course to play for golfers of all handicaps.

Ireland Golf Courses

The greens are very well maintained and have been rated as among the finest in the country.

The golfer has to fare well with the wind, beach, and the rivers which come into play.

The strategically placed bunkers can also turn out to be treacherous on some occasions.

Some alterations have been made to the course over the years with the reconstruction of six holes but the basic design has not been altered.

The 5th is a tricky hole with its extensively undulated greens and has spoiled the scorecards of many a golfer early in the round.
