Gweedore Golf Club

Gweedore Golf Club is a 9 hole course designed by the creative Irish course designer Eddie Hackett and is a brilliant example of his rigorous work and a seaside golf course.

It was established in 1926 with a length of 6302 yards with 9 holes and plays to the par of 69.

It is a very well manicured and a demanding links course which provides an array of difficulty for the golfer with tough par threes and testing par fives.

The course can get very tricky at places but is no doubt a fair course for all golfers.

It is much easier for the big hitters to come up with a good score card as some of the holes are very risky.

The ball tends to bounce on the rigid fairway and roll off in all directions. Then this may be true for many link courses.

The golfer is treated with astonishing vista of the North West Coastline, and Errigal Mountain as the course is played from outward and inward tees.
