Nairn & Portnoo Golf Club

Nairn and Portnoo Golf Club is situated in the beautiful seaside resort of Portnoo in Southwest Donegal, around 8 miles north of Ardara with the nearest airport Carrickfinn in Donegal.

It is known to be one of the premium natural links courses in Ireland and is no doubt one of the most beautiful 18-hole links courses with comprehensive panorama of Gweebarra Bay.

Nairn Golf Course

It was established in 1930 and retains an old fashioned and a traditional ambience.

The course is integrated into the dunes of the area and you will find holes five to fourteen characteristic in nature and the most striking stretch of holes anywhere in the country.

The par 4 9th hole, has a lofted tee and a green which is shaped on a Pebble Beach and is designed against the Atlantic's oncoming waves and is a delightful spot.

You will find it very difficult to find a links more traditional than at Narin and Portnoo.

Visiting golfers are warmly welcomed here and is an ideal course to play all the year round.

Various development works have been undertaken over the years and the par has increased to 73 increasing the challenge and enjoyment of this course.
