Donabate Golf Club

Donabate Golf Club still preserves a country charisma and character of its own even though it is very near Dublin City center. It is a 27-hole parkland course lined with numerous trees and established in 1925.

The course here is pretty flat and water is a part of the play on 9 holes. This is one of those courses where you need to organize your game well and can be challenging for all golfers.

Donabate is unique in Ireland as it one of the few parkland courses which is situated just around half a mile from the sea. The golf course is proud of three sets of nine holes which are a combination of new and old.

A game of golf here can be a stimulating and refreshing golfing experience. You have to position yourself well and also be careful with your club selection, otherwise your ball is sure to find its way into a watery grave.

Almost all the original greens have been refashioned and are now sand based and you can play here throughout the year.

A new luxurious clubhouse, with good dining facilities, was opened in January 2003 and offers a friendly service and great food.
