Hermitage Golf Club

Hermitage Golf Club has been a part of West Dublin golf scene since 1905. It is just five miles from the main city and bordered by the meandering River Liffey on one side.

The course is a part of the gorgeous Liffey Valley known as the Strawberry Beds, a Dublin landmark which have been made famous in songs and stories.

Hermitage Golf Club is an uneven and demanding parkland course, with an influence of river Liffey on a many holes.

This course is said to have has some similarity to the Eldorado Club in Palm Springs.

The par 72, hole 18 course was started in 1905 as a nine-hole course and was extended to a 18 hole course later on.

The mild topography of the first nine is in contrast to the harsh test which awaits the golfer on the back nine.

The pictorial 10th is the signature hole as it stares down on the Liffey river which meanders through a patchwork of stunning beauty. It just looks like water, sand and a little green from the tee.

Set the nerves aside and hit the shot and their will be no problem.
