Athenry Golf Club

Athenry Golf Club is situated between Oranmore and Athenry at Palmerstown the course designed in 1902 is a blend of heath land and park land.

The course is constructed over a limestone base and the club has an outsized forest composed of pine and beech trees as a backdrop.

This backdrop sets up well for the signature hole, the 193 yard 12th hole. It’s one of the most scenic and challenging holes in all of Ireland.

The course can also be played year round due to its’ excellent, natural drainage system.

The course started as a 9 hole and in 1991 Eddie Hackett, a distinguished architect, spearheaded the golf course's expansion.

Athenry Golf Club is now a prime 18-hole course and has played host to Provincial, as well as, National Championships.

Athenry Golf Club has a pleasant atmosphere and modern clubhouse, which offers a picturesque view of the Fields of Athenry, this club can entice any golfer to come and enjoy a round.
