Galway Golf Club is situated just 3 miles from Galway City Center at Blackrock in Salthill and is considered one of the finest and most prestigious courses in Ireland.
You can be assured of a traditional Irish welcome at Galway Golf Club
Dating as far back as 1895, the Club’s redesigned par 70 course reopened in 1993 and, a year later hosted the Irish Professional Championship.
In 2002, Galway Golf Club also played host to the All-Ireland Cups and Shields Finals.
Galway Golf’s 6,380-yard 18-hole course is spread around the area offering a scenic view of Galway Bay, the Burrens and the Aran Islands.
In this tree-lined course, it is important to play with respect and to bring your short game.
Being right beside the bay, the winds are tricky and present some interesting challenges.
Accurate placement is necessary for most of the holes and the course offers a good challenge to all golfers.
Galway Golf Club also has a full country club with practice facilities and a new Club House to enjoy a meal and a drink.
