Oughterard Golf Club

Oughterard Golf Club is a challenging course located in parkland, sandwiched between Connemara Mountains and Laugh Corrib and considered as the perfect golfing holiday getaway in West Ireland.

The golf club was established in 1974 and was originally nine holes and was expanded to 18 holes in 1997, after major reconstruction was done.

The course was made more challenging by adding length to some holes and additional hazards to others, such as ponds, rocks, and lakes.

The course was designed by Commander Harris, an English architect, but was redesigned later by Paddy Merrigan into it´s current configuration.

Oughterard has an excellent pro shop, bar, and restaurant. The restaurant has wonderful views of the course and serves a wide menu selection, including all day breakfast.
