Dooks Golf Club
Dooks Golf Club is a links course situated at the coast of the inner Dingle Bay on the Atlantic Ocean around 20 miles from Kerry International Airport and just off the Ring of Kerry.
It is one of the most environment friendly golf courses in the world.
Dooks Golf Club is one of the 5 oldest Links in Ireland and one of the most environment friendly golf courses in the world.
The beauty and the ambience of the awesome seaside traditional golf links make playing golf at Dooks a lifetime experience.
The golf course is famous for its friendliness and it is the way of life here.
The initial 9 hole course was laid out sometime in the 19th century with the second 9 holes designed in 1970.
Martin Hawtree the well known golf architect refurbished the 18 holes in 2002 with a result that has been an amazing success.
The 6586 yards course is a tricky one and it is better not to be ambitious as it can test all the clubs in your bag even on a quiet day.
It can get harder to play with even a mild Atlantic breeze.
Irrespective of the game the breathtaking view of the course and from the course will lure you back to this place many times.
