Parknasilla Golf Club
Parknasilla Golf Club is a 9 hole course and part of the Parksinalla Great Southern Hotel and was established in 1975 by the Atlantic Ocean.
The panorama from this course is impressive; from the sparkling water of Kenmare Bay to the imposing mountains of the Beara Peninsula.
Parknasilla Golf course was designed by Arthur Sprins and is a brilliant test of skill for all level of golfers and pushes them to their best shot making ability.
Nevertheless, all the holes can be amicably played by golfers with high handicap.
The course comprises of one par five and two par threes. An intelligent combine of open and tight fairways offers a wonderful chance to golfers to open the shoulders at some holes while being more cautious at the others.
The most memorable holes at Parknasilla golf course are the 11th and 12th. One has to be very careful about the ball overshooting the green as it can descend into the bed of the Atlantic Ocean.
