Waterville Golf Links on Ballinskelligs Bay has been shaped by the elements and is one of the best championship link courses in Ireland, located about 3 hours from Shannon Airport.

Playing golf at Waterville is a magical experience as it is a spectacular classic links course, challenging and enjoyable.

It is rated amongst the top 5 links in Ireland and the top 20 links courses in the world and it is not surprising that a number of the world’s best players test their skills here.

There are hazardous sand dunes combined with the native green and dense fairways to make your game more exciting. The weather can also become very taxing at times to add to your test.

Ballinskelligs Bay is a broad semi-circular bay enveloped on the north by a big overhang of the peninsula and Waterville golf links does not get the full impact of the sea breeze as it is protected by the headlands on the North and South.

The only distinguishing part of the first two opening holes is that they are long but the dogleg right 3rd is a brilliant hole which extends 417 yards from the back over a rigid fairway by bunkers on both sides and you have a creek on the right.

This is the toughest hole on the course.

This is a course to enjoy, a clubhouse to enjoy and always worth a visit.
