Athy Golf Club
Athy Golf Club is located in the southern end of Kildare and is just 70 kilometers from Dublin. It was originally established as a 9 hole course in 1906 and was developed into a regular 18 hole course in 1993.
It is a well drained course and can be played all through the year.
Stunning River Moneen meanders through the middle of the course giving it a tranquil ambience.
The course has been improved extensively in the last few years with an additional 11 sets of tees and 33 new bunkers.
Jeff Howes designed par 71 parkland course requires accuracy from the golfers.
The main difficulty lies in the 16th and 17th holes as they are the most challenging successive holes on this demanding course.
You will have an exciting time playing the last five holes of the course as they require planning.
Athy Golf Club has a well stocked clubhouse overlooking the course was opened in 2003. You can enjoy a pint or a coffee in the relaxed surroundings.
