Knockanally Golf Club
Kockanally Golf Club is situated about 25 miles on the west of Dublin, just off the main Galway road. This 18 hole Par 72 championship golf course stands on 120 acres of parkland with numerous water hazards and magnificent old trees.
It is known to have the one of the most difficult opening holes in golf.
Irish International Professional Championship was played at Knockanally in 1994.
It is well acclaimed for its picturesque panorama but is also a test for golfers of all skill levels.
Golfers can enjoy a breathtaking vista of the whole course from this superbly architected clubhouse.
Knockanally has the justifiable standing for hospitality as well as being truly excellent test of golf.
There are water hazards on 11 of the 18 holes.
The Par 3, 11th is no doubt the most spectacular as it is designed among the overhanging trees and is protected by water both in the front and right.
This golf club was established in 1985 and has a splendid 19th century Palladian mansion which has been converted into the clubhouse.
Knockanally golf club has the justifiable standing for hospitality as well as being truly excellent test of golf.
