County Kildare Golf Courses

County Kildare is coupled with St Brigid, a 6th century saint, who is also one of the three patron Saints of Ireland.

The name Kildare is acquired from the Irish term 'Cill Dara' which means Church of the Oak Tree.

This County has open grasslands and large expanse of ancient marshland, incorporated with the undulated landscape.

Kildare is also well known as a sporting, racing and hunting region. Horse racing takes place all the year round, hosting some of the leading races in the country’s racing calendar, with the Irish Derby in June.
