Mountrath Golf Club

Mountrath Golf Club was initially established in 1929 and evolved into to par 71 18-hole course in 1994, under the experienced eye of Peter McEvoy.

Golfers will appreciate its extended fairways and well manicured greens. You will come across a number of hazards here, which punish those who take their shots easy.

The course is dotted with yawning, well shaped bunkers. The River Nore flows through the course, and the signature hole is no doubt the short 14th with water gurgling on left and right, so be careful with the club you select.

The Slieve Bloom Mountains make the background more imposing. The course is laid out in thick woodlands with flourishing fairways and well protected greens. It is a challenge for any golfer and is sure to test the your driving, pitching and putting ability.

After an enjoyable round of golf, you can relax in the new clubhouse over a drink where you are assured of a warm Irish Welcome.
