Rathdowney Golf Club is another course designed by the well known architect Eddie Hackett. This course is tranquil and rural and is ideal for a getaway round of golf.

This course combines superb topography with stimulating and challenging holes.

Rathdowney Golf Couse

Rathdowney golf club was established in 1930 and was the idea of Fr. Dunphy who was the curate in the parish at that time. It has an intricate layout over relentless landscape, which is an excellent test for all golfers.

With a mixture of long and short holes, it is challenging and you will have to make good use of all the clubs in your golf bag.

When we talk about the par 4’s , then the 12th and 15th can be very demanding, at the same time as the long 6th is a tricky par five when you play in the wind.

You need to be extra cautious with the 2nd and 17th as they look easy at first but they both can lead your score to disaster.
