Claremorris Golf Club
Claremorris Golf Club is situated in the heart of Western Ireland only one and half miles from the centre of the town on the past estate of Lord Oranmore and Browne.
The course was established in 1917 on the site of an old racecourse but was shifted to this location after a few years. It was in 1998 that the course was extended to 18 holes to the pleasure of local golfers.
It is a very scenic 18 hole parkland course which offers beautiful views of the neighboring region and the undulating hills.
River Robe meanders through the course and has been well utilized by the re-design by Tom Craddock.
The course also has abundance of trees and water hazards to add to the difficulty and excitement of the game.
Each hole has its own unique characteristics and they have been designed with precision which will test even the most astute golfers.
Accuracy is the foremost requirement on the course to score a good round.
The Par 4 6th hole is the signature hole and you will need to hit long and accurate drive to the fairway with bunkers and a mid iron to a tricky elevated green.
Claremorris Golf Club has a modern and newly refurbished clubhouse with bar and food facilities to relax in after a satisfying game of golf.
