Mulranny Golf Club
Mulranny Golf Club is a 9 hole course located near the Atlantic Ocean about 30km North-West of Castlebar and was established in 1968 in this beautiful area.
The course offers breathtaking panorama of the islands in Clew Bay with Croagh Patrick in the backdrop.
With its stunning surroundings this nine-hole gem is enormously popular with most of the visitors coming to this part of the country.
The links course is 5729 meters in length and plays to a par 71. The strong Atlantic winds can be a challenge for the even the most shrewd of golfers. In fact Mulranny is one of the few courses where you can enjoy a game of golf with cows and sheep wandering about.
Precision plays an important role when you are playing with the strong winds of the Atlantic Ocean. You have to keep extreme patience as well as keeping as steady as you can to play a good scoring round.
Mulranny Golf Club is an enjoyable and tranquil golf course with one of the best holes being the 7th.
