Navan Golf Club
Navan Golf Club is situated at Navan Racecourse about 30 miles north of Dublin, and easily reachable from Newry and is an 18 hole, par 72 golf course designed by Robert J Browne.
The course has huge sand based greens with water hazards and bunkers protecting to provide a tough test to golfers of all skill levels.
The course presents a unique ambience as it has been developed in two loops of 9 holes each inside the racing track, the front nine produces the feel of a heath land with knolls and small trees.
On the other hand the back nine are placed in characteristic parkland surrounding with majestic big trees.
The1999 landscape award sponsored by Bord Gais was won by Navan golf club.
The golf course has also received a lot of appreciation for its extraordinary greens from the press and is ranked among the finest in the country, with a very well maintained environment.
The picturesque panorama from Navan golf course and the clubhouse is stunning.
