Royal Tara Golf Club

Royal Tara Golf Club is located next to the Hill of Tara, which is the ancient home of the High Kings of Ireland and is one of the most invigorating golf courses in Ireland.

It is a 27 hole mature parkland course and is lined with boulevard of trees which golfers have to stay away from in order to end with a respectable score.

The course has well maintained sand based greens the best for irrigation on rainy days.

The par 3’s are especially well constructed and you may require a wood when the wind blows against the course.

The new course was redesigned by celebrated Europe Tour Professional Des Smyth in 1995.

The main course is made up of Cluide and Tara nines which offer a brilliant challenge to all golfers. The back nine of the old course is known as Bellinter.

The Royal Tara Club house was constructed in 2000 and offers a spectacular view of the golf course and the neighboring landscape as well as a friendly bar and a great catering service.
