County Sligo Golf Club

County Sligo Golf Club is situated on the Rosses Point peninsula which is around 4 miles from Sligo. It is well know as one of the finest championship links courses in Ireland.

It was established in1894 and was redesigned by Harry Colt in 1929. According to some golfers, it is one of the premium links courses in the country with Christy O'Connor Jnr handpicking the 17 th to be one of the best holes in Ireland .

The championship links is designed on top of three big beaches on the Atlantic coast in the silhouette of Ben Bulben.

The course will surprise you with its characteristics and it is understandable why it is so popular with it`s most scenic locations.

This Par 71 6004 meters course has been the host to the West of Ireland Amateur Open Championships since 1923.

All golfers are challenged by the invariable winds and the majestic high trees.

A small brook flows through the course and is a part of the play on some of the holes.
