Strandhill Golf Club is situated about 5 miles from Sligo and is snuggled under the well-known Knocknarea Mountain and offers some impressive scenery of the surrounding area.

The Course is a must for golfing visitors to Sligo with tough fairways and unforgiving short cuts, it is a course to remember.

This course is gifted with visual bonanza and a design to challenge your golf skills.

The sand dunes have been incorporated on the course brilliantly by the designer and call for precision as bad shots can spell doom to your scorecard.

Even though it is a short course it is demanding and the numerous doglegs on the course have to be handled carefully.

The course is open to the Atlantic winds that blow off Sligo Bay and are a major hindrance to a triumphant round of golf.
