Nairnshire also known as Siorrachd Inbhir Narann in Gaelic has been often described as ‘Nairnshire capital is tops for sunshine’ as it has much more sunshine than any other place in Scotland.

It is a historical county situated in the North East and has some prominent archeological remains at Rait and the Cawdor castles.

The main industries include whisky distilling and tourism.

Golf has played an important part in the development of the county and people see the game with high regard.

It is also a centre for golfing superiority both in terms of the course as well as facilities.

It is home to two premium championship links golf courses, Nairn Dunbar Golf Club and Nairn Golf Club.
