Girona Golf Course
Girona Golf Course is situated about 10 kilometers north of Girona and is very close to a small town called Sant Julia de Ramis. It was established in 1992 and is one of the best maintained courses in Spain.
F G Hawtree, the eminent English architect has designed the course and has described it as one of his finest creations. It is one of its kind courses in Spain which has 'Pencross Grass' and with its natural backdrop and topography offers a challenging game of golf to all golfers.
Girona Golf Club is an 18-hole course which plays to a par of 72 and has been entirely tailored to its natural ambience with no highways or power lines crossing it.
It has a modern sprinkling system which uses water from the purification plant and Girona and meets the most advanced environmental standards. There is a striking clubhouse, which has been constructed with natural stone and blends perfectly with its ambience.
The top nine holes on the course are exceptionally competitive, and it will require golfers to make use of all the clubs in their bags. The back nine are just as fabulous, where the tees have been set on walls fabricated with Girona stone, and offers inspiring panorama of the fairways.
