Golf d’Aro Golf Course
Golf d’Aro Golf Course is situated on the Costa Brava, in the border of Playa de Aro and Santa Cristina d'Aro, and is about 35 km from Girona and 90 km from Barcelona.
It has been designed on the Les Gavarres Mountains, which is 300 meters above sea level and offers stunning panorama of the famous Costa Brava. The course comprises of cork, pine, oak and over a thousand olive trees, as well as two artificial lakes which adds to the unique beauty of the golf course.
Club Golf d’Aro Mas Nou opened for play in 1990 and has been designed by the well known golf architect D Ramon Espinosa. The club was host to the famous golf championship 'Open Cataluna' in 1992 and it was in this year that the golf course was honored with the 'European Society of Golf Courses Architects'.
It was also included in the Associacion Catalana de Golf and in the Associacio Espanola de.
It is home to a golf school with international standards and is open all through the year.
The Golf Course Golf D'Aro is very close to Playa de Aro which has a number of hotels and shops for the convenience of the golfers.
