The Front 9 Holes of Los Olivos Golf Course
Hole 1: Bunkers are all down the left and right of the fairway, so straight tee shot is needed. The green is raised and there is a small bunker at the back.
Hole 2: This is long dogleg to the right with bunkers protecting the right corner. The green has two bunkers on the left and front left and the three levels to put on.
Hole 3: 156 meter par three where the green is surrounded by bunkers. This is a tricky green to read and a par is good.
Hole 4: Straight hole with trees on the left so tee shot down the middle. The green has a bunker front right so longer is better.
Hole 5: A dogleg to the left with bunkers on the right side. The corner can be cut for big hitters or down the middle for safe play. Three bunkers nestle into the green sides and back.
Hole 6: 162 meter par 3 with water protecting the left and two bunkers on the right. This is a big but tricky green to read.
Hole 7: from the back tees there are two lots of water to play over. The second shot is also important as the green is well protected on the right and has two levels to put on.
Hole 8: 178 meter par 3 where the lake curves around the left side of the green and two bunkers protect left and right front.
Hole 9: Par 5 dogleg to the right which can be reached in 2 for a big hitter. There are bunkers on both sides of the fairways around the green and also crossing in front of the two level green. Need to think of club selection and distance to stay out of trouble.
The Back 9 Holes of Los Olivos Golf Course
Hole 10: A slight dogleg to the right with fairway bunkers on both sides. Tee shot is best left to middle for an easier approach shot. There are three bunkers around the long green and a tricky bunker at the back.
Hole 11: The landing area is narrow due to the big bunker on the left. Longer and shorter there is more fairway. The double green has three bunkers.
Hole 12: Dog leg to the right with trees on both sides of the fairway. Big hitters can cut the corner if they play over the trees. The green has three bunkers and again a deep bunker at the back.
Hole 13: This is a short par 4 where the fairway is narrow and trees are along the left. The green is large and contoured with bunkers protecting the front.
Hole 14: 162 meter par 3 with all the trouble on the left.
Hole 15: This hole is a long par 4 with a dog leg to the left. Trees are both sides of the fairway and straight up the middle is the best tee shot. The green is long and has two bunkers on either side.
Hole 16: short 130 meter par 3 hole. Better to be on the short side IE front of green for an easier put.
Hole 17: The larger landing area is short of the bunkers. Big hitters can play for the area after the bunkers. The green has five bunkers around this long and narrow outing area.
Hole 18: A par 5 for the last hole with the lake down the left side but big hitters will be driving past this. There are a couple of bunkers on the right side of the fairway. The green is contoured and has three bunkers the first is 30 meter short of the putting area.
