Andratx Golf Course is one of the most challenging on the island, with its long holes carved out of this hilly landscape offering some dramatic views.
Andratx is beautifully designed with over 60 bunkers (using quartz white sand), seven lakes (over six holes) and narrow fairways making accurate shots (especially of the tees) most important.
Some of the holes are between property developments but the back nine are all set in beautifully un-spoilt countryside with pine trees and Mediterranean flora.
When booking around at Andratx they always include the buggy. and on a hot day it is easy to understand why!
The course is well irrigated with re cycled water kept on course and with three different grass types used it is very easy to see whether the ball is on fairway, rough or green.

Andratx is a well run course with mountainous terrain and tight fairways and some short holes. I enjoyed the round and found it interesting and will play again next year but this is not a course to play as a club member.

Andraxt - impressive club house is about all it has in favour. No practice putting area. (Amazed that the pro - or shop assistant was practicing his chipping onto a very damaged 18th green when we were having our pre-round coffee! 4 or 5 good holes on front 9 but development around the back 9 seriously affects good course layout. Green to tee distances are a joke. Will not return.

Andratx Golf Course 18 Hole Guide
Hole 1: This a straight par 4 328m from the yellow tees with trees down the right side and a small bunker and stone wall in front of the green.
Hole 2: A par 3 where accuracy and club selection is important. There is trouble all around the green with the land sloping away and two bunkers.
