La Manga Golf Resort is one of Europe’s most popular and finest golfing destinations, offering three Championship Courses and first class practice facilities for all areas of your golf.
La Manga is the ideal place for quality golf, to improve your game (many of Europe’s top players and country organizations can be seen here) and all round sport (Many football clubs take winter breaks and training camps).
There are three fantastic courses to enjoy, test and to challenge you on all areas of your golf.
La Manga South Course
La Manga South Course is said to be one of the fairest tests of golf you will find. And this applies to all levels of golfer.
It is designed by Robert Putman in a beautiful valley and was re-modeled by Arnold Palmer in 1992 and more improvement a couple of years ago.
The fairways are wide and lined by palm trees and all hazards such as the bunkers and the water hazards can be seen.
However, they punish any wayward shot and with some of the par 3’s and 4’s requiring long irons to reach the protected greens.
The last hole is a great example of the round, with water on both sides and a ravine short of the bunker protected green; you must select and play the correct club and shot.
La Manga North Course
La Manga North Course is more undulating and is designed through the palm tree filled land, variety of water hazards including lakes and barrancas (rough grass, rocky gullies) which make the fairways much tighter than the other courses.
The greens are large usually with three tiers and have been re constructed to USPGA standards offering a great test of putting.
La Manga West Course
La Manga West Course main character is the changes in elevation of the holes, narrow fairways with creaks and gullies crossing and the many blind shots. This tree filled, undulating landscape is beautiful and this course tests your course management and accuracy.
All areas of golf are tested with long and tricky par 3’s and fast greens with lots of borrow and levels.
La Manga Golf Resort is a fantastic place to enjoy after your golf or practice with fantastic views while having your drink or three course lunch.
