Golf Information
- Tee times – We will do everything possible to confirm your requested tee times, however golf courses do reserve the right to alter preferred tee times. If for any reason your tee times should not be available, as part of our service we will offer you the nearest possible alternative. Tee times are based on playing in four balls and therefore you may be paired up with other golfers on the day.
- Spanish Federation Fee - The Spanish Golf Federation levy a charge on all golfers visiting Spain. This is approximately 3 euros, but some courses include this in their green fees, where it is not included the caddymaster will charge you locally.
- Course Closure - In the event of heavy rain a course will decide whether to close. If a course is open they will expect you to play, therefore if you choose not to they will not refund your green fee. If a course closes due to the bad weather, your tee time will be moved or you will receive a full or partial refund.
- Handicaps - In general handicap certificates are rarely asked to be seen, however we must make you aware as a general rule you should carry a handicap certificate. For the more prestigious courses such as Valderrama it would be safest to bring it.
- Dress Code – Is the same as most countries, jeans are frowned upon, but long socks do not need to be worn with shorts. Soft spikes are recommended, as most courses do not allow spikes to be worn.
- Golf clubs – Most courses offer club hire for approx 25.00 Euros per set, per day. (prices may vary)
- Golf Seasons – The high season is September, October and February to May. The hottest months are June, July and August therefore the low season for golf. November to January it is the low season for holiday makers and so prices are lower.
- Golf Course – Golf Courses condition may vary from time to time. Course maintenance such as aerating greens, improving drainage will happen and often will be scheduled at short notice, depending on weather, which means that we are not always made aware of when this will occur. Equally, in particularly dry spells, when there are water bans in place, fairways and greens may be burnt and not in the best of playing conditions. Events such as these are out of our control and we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the golf courses during your golfing holiday.
